This week we will be hosting a special #InkyReadalong, focused on The Philadelphia Inquirer. This show is a special project produced in partnership with Inquirer LIVE. Our guest is Mike Sielski, sports columnist for The Inquirer and author of "The Rise: Kobe Bryant and the Pursuit of Immortality." Neil Parekh is the guest host. In The Rise, readers travel from the neighborhood streets of Southwest Philadelphia—where Kobe’s father, Joe, became a local basketball standout—to the Bryant family’s isolation in Italy, where Kobe spent his formative years, to the leafy suburbs of Lower Merion outside Philadelphia, where Kobe’s legend was born.

Mike covers a wide range of Philadelphia sports, including basketball (Villanova and the 76ers), baseball (the Phillies), football (the Eagles) and hockey (the Flyers). We’ll definitely have some questions about Gritty, the Flyers’ mascot.
The Philadelphia Inquirer is the third-oldest continually operating daily newspaper in the United States and is the largest newspaper owned by a nonprofit, The Lenfest Institute, a subsidiary of The Philadelphia Foundation.
Regular viewers will know that we usually feature The New York Times; the show's official name is Sree's Sunday #NYTReadalong.
Occasionally, we focus on other publications. We have previously hosted shows highlighting the Chicago Sun-Times, The Washington Post, The Globe and Mail (Toronto), Politico, the Dallas Morning-News and the Khaleej Times (Dubai).
The show is produced by Digimentors. We produce high-quality virtual and hybrid events for organizations big and small around the world. We also do social and digital consulting, training and workshops.
