Amy Virshup, NYT Travel Editor, will be the guest for our January 26 edition of @Sree’s Sunday #NYTReadalong. I will be the guest host. We will be talking about the Travel Section’s “52 Places to Go” and the 20th anniversary of “Places to Go.”

We will be live at 8:30 a.m. ET / 1:30 p.m. GMT / 7:00 p.m. (Sunday morning in the US, Sunday afternoon in the UK and Sunday evening in India).

The print edition of “52 Places to Go” was in last Sunday’s paper, and online before that. We’ll get the chance to ask Amy about reader reaction, the use of AI in reviewing 20 years of “Places to Go” and some of the new features in the online presentation.

Next week (February 2), we will kick off Black History Month with Detria Everson, President and CEO of the John and Lillian Miles Lewis Foundation. She’ll tell us about some of the celebrations planned for what would have been his 85th Birthday (Feb. 21), the #JohnLewisSelfie campaign and other special projects.

Last week, Chetachi Egwu, Ph.D. (aka Dr. Tachi) joined us for a special #NYTReadalong live Miami, Florida.

"52 Places to Go"

Through a special arrangement with The New York Times, the .pdf of "52 Places to Go" is available for download (59MB, .pdf).

We also have gift links to these features:

New York Times for Kids

This week's Sunday Times also features New York Times for Kids, a print-only special section. Every month, we get permission from The New York Times to share a .pdf of this section for a limited time, until Sunday at Noon ET. We've taken down the .pdf, but here's the video clip of our review of NYT for Kids. (The play button might be hard to see, but it's there.)

We are always thankful to Tom Jolly (Print Editor), Wayne Kamidoi (Art Director) and Molly Bennet (Editor, NYT for Kids).

If you want to learn more about this section (which should "not be read by grown-ups") watch our interview with Amber Williams, the former editor of NYT for Kids. We recently started a #NYTReadalong Playlist for our reviews of NYT for Kids. Click here for the playlist.
