Have you ever been to Antarctica? Much less on a ship named the Endurance? One of our most loyal viewers, Deborah Kerr recently went on a National Geographic-led  expedition to Antarctica. She’ll share pics, video and more on Sree’s Sunday #NYTReadalong February 23. I will be the guest host. If you missed Sree's latest newsletters, “Where are the Republicans” and “DeepSeek Says I Died in 2020” you can find them on Substack.

We will be live at 8:30 a.m. ET / 1:30 p.m. GMT / 7:00 p.m. IST (Sunday morning in the US, Sunday afternoon in the UK and Sunday evening in India). If you miss the show, you can always watch the replay, right on this page.

It’s a great follow-up to our 52 Places to Go episode with Amy Virshup, Travel Editor of The New York Times: Antarctica was a featured destination in 2010 and 2012. We’ll see how those write-ups compare to Deborah’s more recent experience.

A friend from high school is actually in Antarctica this week on his own trip. He’s a Cruise Director for Oceania Cruises. I’ll share some of his perspectives as well.

NYT for Kids

UPDATE: At 10am ET, Deborah stayed with us as we offered a special look at the print-only last-Sunday-of-the-Month NYT for Kids. The feature this month is, ”The Weird Wonderful Science of Sleep.” Every month, on the last Sunday of the month, you can find the .pdf of NYT for Kids on our website until Noon ET on Sunday. Look for that day's show and click through for the #NYTKids .pdf. We are able to share the .pdf for a limited time each month through a special arrangement with The New York Times.
