We’re back with another edition of Sree’s Sunday #NYTReadalong. Kevin McKenna, Deputy Business Editor for The New York Times, will be our guest. For the last seven years, in addition to his regular duties, he has overseen a group of reporters covering the economy, energy, transportation and lately retail. He also played a role in The New York Times’s digital evolution and was the editorial director of the group that launched nytimes.com in the 1990s.
We will be live at 8:30am ET on Sunday morning on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram and our Digimentors website. If you miss the live show, you can always watch it later, on demand.
There are two stories from Sunday's paper that Kevin wants to make sure we review:
In addition to the print edition of the Sunday New York Times, here are some of the additional articles we’ll review:
Kevin started at The New York Times in 1984, as an editor on what was then the Foreign Desk. His subsequent roles included assistant foreign editor, deputy news editor (responsible for Page 1), weekend editor on the metro desk, tech editor and editor of a weekly personal tech section called Circuits. He also spent a year as a Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford.
A year ago, he wrote a story for the Times about a landmark restaurant in L.A. that he’s known since childhood, a place that just celebrated its 100th anniversary.
We have been reviewing the print edition of the Sunday New York Times for eight years. Click here for our YouTube Playlist.
