India Giving Day will be held on March 14, 2025. More than 35 carefully vetted nonprofits will come together and raise money to address poverty, illiteracy, malnutrition, health, and the environment in India. Manisha Bharti, CEO of Pratham USA, will tell us all about it on on Sree’s Sunday #NYTReadalong

India Giving Day, India Philanthropy Alliance and Pratham USA

India Giving Day is an initiative of the India Philanthropy Alliance. The Alliance is composed of 21 philanthropic and nonprofit organizations that collectively raise more than $250 million annually, including more than $100 million in the United States to support development and humanitarian programs.


Pratham, which focuses on educating children in India, is one of those organizations. It’s one of the largest and most successful nonprofits in India. Pratham USA has fourteen chapters across the U.S.
