Our guest on Sree’s Sunday #NYTReadalong is Shawna Presley Vercher, The Political Fixer. She is an award-winning political media strategist and social justice advocate.

Shawna is also the host of the upcoming reality series, “The Political Fixer” coming in 2025. Neil Parekh will be the guest host of this week's show.

We will be live at 8:30am ET / 1:30pm GMT on Sunday morning on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram and our Digimentors website. If you miss the live show, you can always watch it later, on demand.

The conversation will focus on the elections, her work on social media (particularly her success with attracting older female viewers to longer-form videos on TikTok), a show she’s launching in January.

We’ll also learn about Voter SOS (Southern Outreach and Support), an effort to track down mail-in ballots in the wake of recent hurricanes.

Shawna is the national director of Cocktails for Kamala; worked on President Obama’s 2008 campaign; advised Gov. Jeb Bush on technology strategy in Florida; helped with the community response to the Parkland, Florida school shooting and has worked on numerous Senate, House and Gubernatorial campaigns.

Sree Sreenivasan has been reviewing the print edition of the Sunday New York Times for nine years. Click here for our YouTube Playlist.
